26 Aug Silver Cross – Castle Combe
It is with a sense of wonder that we find ourselves in picturesque Castle Combe, a beautiful little village well known in movies, documentaries and still life photography.
It wasn’t too long ago that Steven Spielberg shot the very street we are shooting on surrounded by a huge cast, production crew and, of course horses in his epic production, War Horse. Thankfully, today we only have two models and a baby to contend with!
This shoot was to be part of a set of four intended to capture what is quintessentially British. This village encapsulated the British countryside feel perfectly with its ‘film set’ feel and immaculately preserved buildings and greenery. This is the last day with the new Hasselblad H5 CMOS camera, loaned to me from Hasselblad, and has impressed me so much that it is definitely on my 2015 shopping list.
Above is a video of the days events and some of the final shots chosen.
A massive thank you goes to the Silver Cross team, Lee at B&W Design Agency and the village of Castle Combe.
