The answer is simple. This area of photography is normally done quite badly in our opinion & we think the main reason is the lack of understanding your average portrait photographer has of the live arts. Outside of the studio Matthew runs a theatre company, plays many musical instruments, acts & runs a recording studio...in the middle of the difficult second album actually. So, apart from having a personal interest in what it is you do, it's perhaps Matthew's understanding of what you need that's most important.
